Every Welsh tune I've encountered so far, (and they've been few, but that's my fault for not seeking them out,) has been exciting. You can hear the tape coming off the chanter half way through, taking the C-natural up to a C-sharp.

The vast majority of tracks on this album were arranged by Timothy Cummings in his collection, "The Piper's Hymnal," which can be purchased at birchenmusic.com -- there is at least some variation from the arrangement, one might call, "artistic license," that or, "an inability to play it as written"... I can't recommend Tim's collection highly enough, though, it's an excellent resource.
